Things to know after we’re done: |
|
There are things that aren’t complete, or things that don’t look right. Are you going to fix them? At the end of every job, your project manager will go through all of the work with you and make a deficiency list. This list acts as the master final to-do list for your work. Anything that you or we are unhappy with goes on this list to make sure it gets done before we are finished. Its totally normal for many little things to be left until the end. It may look like we are done, but until this list is complete (and you have agreed its complete) we aren’t. We normally do everything right away, but due to the realities of materials curing, paint and sealant drying, etc. It can take up to 4 weeks for everything to get finally finished. But don’t worry, you can move in to your space as soon as the project manager says its okay, and this is often far before all deficiencies are remedied.
How long is our work guaranteed? All of our work is covered by a complete 1 year materials and labour warranty, with many specific parts of your work guaranteed for much longer. The specifics of your warranty are covered in your specific contract (everyone chooses different materials and installation methods depending on budget and design choices).
What if something doesn't work the way it should after the warranty period? We get all of our work by having customers love us, and we want that love to keep on going strong long after we are finished the work you trusted us to do. So we are not going to hide behind a piece of paper if we know something was done incorrectly. To make a long story short, we stand behind everything we build for as long as it should be. That means if a hinge fails 3 years before it should, or if a roof leaks five years after it was put in, etc., regardless of the guarantee on paper, call us. If it isn’t reasonable or out of the ordinary that something broke before it should, let us know. We will come have a look and if you are right, we will fix it, free of charge.
